Although I still go to my neighbourhood Starbucks for a cup of coffee, it really didn't surprise me when it was announced that Starbucks would be closing 600 stores.  It had gotten to the point that they were opening up stores next to their own stores.  I'm no MBA, but it didn't seem to make much sense to steal customers from yourself. 

And while they re organize, maybe they could do something about the sizes. I would really like them to change the size format. I'm still not sure what a 'vente' is. And I'm sorry, but a 'tall' is not a tall....it's short & it's small.

Finally, a salute to the Starbucks' staff. I really don't know how they can keep the orders straight when a guy (remember Niles from Frasier) comes in & he sounds like he's giving the code to a missile defense system: vente, double shot, no foam, skim, extra hot, half-shot this, almost-shot no-fat that, medium rare, hold the pickles...etc, etc. And maybe world peace on the side.
