After a long overdue white Christmas and New Year's for 2008, our 97-7 Street Team is back in full force!

Still haven't received one of our FREE, LIMITED EDITION 97-7 mugs and want our friendly Street Team to come and mug your business and/or workplace?! You still have time! Send us an e-mail at win@977calgaryfm.com and let us know! All we need are:

The New 97-7 is proud to be a part of the Give Us A Jingle Event, that will help raise money for the Calgary Herald Christmas Fund on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Chinook Mall.

The Give Us A Jingle Event runs from 5:30 am - 7:00 pm.

The 97-7 Street Team will be on Location all day at this event giving away our FREE LIMITED EDITION 97-7 mugs to those who come to make a donation. It doesn't hurt to ask for a hug for a mug either :)

Brrrr....it's cold out there! It's going to be another brisk day out tomorrow for Thursday, December 4! Why not grab a cup of java on your way to work to cup yourself warm?

Anyone found a pumpkin for Phoenix and Jenna yet??? If you still want to drop off a pumpkin at the station for them, you still can - you have until 5:00 pm, and you have your choice of a pop, rock OR country CD just for dropping off a pumpkin!

As you may have heard yesterday on Phoenix's show, there's a pumpkin shortage this year. If you're like me, and forgot to buy a pumpkin ahead of time, today is your lucky day! Just in time for Halloween, the 97-7 Street Team has been lucky enough to come across a limited supply of pumpkins.

It's been a crazy couple of weeks for the New 97-7 Street Team. We were mugging those coming out of the Toby Keith concert last Thursday (October 9), and we were swarmed by those coming out of the Stamps/Roughriders Game yesterday (October 13). So many people wanted to get mugged (over 2,000 people!) after the Stamps game that we ended up running out of mugs in about 45 minutes!!!

Those of you who were lucky enough to get Sheryl Crow concerts, you'll get an added bonus by getting "mugged" by our Street Team tonight AFTER the concert!

Look for our Big Red 97-7 Tent at the Saddledome before the concert, and let us know what you think about our station! We always love to hear from our listeners and potentially new listeners!

On Wednesday, September 24, 2008, volunteers will be out on the streets of Calgary exchanging special edition copies of the Calgary Herald for donations to local literacy organizations. 100% of the money you donate will directly support family literacy programs in our community.

As much as we complain about weather, I don't think there's going to be very much complaining this week with the sun coming out this week.
