Backpacks For Kids

The campaign is intended to support students who do not have the resources to purchase the educational supplies they need for classroom success. Even in today’s high-tech world these supplies, ranging from pens and pencils to binders and workbooks, are essential. Unfortunately, they are often beyond the means of families with limited resources. In some cities, the demand for these supplies is as high as 3 in 10 students, most of whom are at the elementary school level. Without proper tools, these children can find it difficult to complete the schoolwork that will shape both their own future success and the educational health of the community.

Purchase back to school items for the more the 12,000 requests that the Salvation Army has received in Calgary and drop them off at any Sleep Country Canada location in the city by September 6th.
