Summerstock Produces Grease On Olympic Plaza

The local Calgary Arts scene doesn’t shut down during the summer months as Summerstock-Calgary produces the much awaited Broadway production of Grease.

In its sixth year of operation--and producing shows giving local youth the chance to shine in a Broadway musical each summer--Summerstock-Calgary is a program of Alberta Education via Westmount Charter School and operates in partnership with the City of Calgary and Epcor Centre for the Performing Arts. Local high school students and early career professionals work year round to produce professional quality Broadway theatre outdoors at the core of the city in the Olympic Plaza Amphitheatre. All ticket sales and donations go to The Summerstock Foundation which funds student scholarships and local Calgary high school theatre productions throughout the year.

Summerstock-Calgary’s production of Grease runs every night from July 28 – August 9th in Olympic Plaza. Tickets are onsale now through all ticketmaster outlets and at www.ticketmaster.ca.
