It was a very busy weekend for Calgary firefighters. In total 6-houses were damaged and 4 were destroyed.  It started yesterday afternoon when fire broke out at a Douglasdale home, then spread to the house next door. It could have been much worse, but neighbours were out hosing down their homes, as the wind whipped up the flames.  Later on Sunday, 2-homes in northwest Citadel burned, thanks to a couple of young boys playing with matches.  3-people suffered minor injuries and 2-cops were treated for minor smoke inhalation.
